Everybody, listen up...listen down? Listen at all?

Being assistant coach for Jordan's soccer team is giving me the chance to exercise off a bit of sweat, which I quickly drink back in. I wish the sweat were resulting in the learning of soccer rules for the kids, but it's not.

Rather than being like the soccer camp Jordan attended this summer, this "we have to let them play" league is more like babysitting. Taken as that and nothing more, it's a success. I wish I knew something to recommend to the coach to instill in the kids a sense of team, a sense of soccer.

Next time I'll know better than to check the "I'll do whatever you need" box in the application. Coaching is hard.
